Superior Hiking Trail--Trail Clearing--Grand Marais
Assist the Superior Hiking Trail Association with trail clearing on the Superior Hiking Trail at various locations in the Grand Marais, MN area. The winter and spring storms have damaged the northern section of the Superior Hiking Trail. Hikers are struggling to even stay on the trail in some spots. Last month, our spring trail clearing event in Grand Marais was cancelled due to weather and we still need help clearing it on June 25 & 26!
You can sign up to work Saturday, June 25th from 9-4, Sunday, June 26th from 8-3, or both days. We will be based out of Grand Marais and working on projects in that area.
We will be hosting volunteers free of charge at the Grand Marais Recreation Area (Campground). We will provide camping on Friday, June 24th and Saturday, June 25th. We will provide Saturday supper along with Saturday and Sunday breakfast. You need to bring your lunches.
