Sleep Under the Stars at Fort William Historical Park
Stay the night with us! For a unique camping experience, “Sleep Under the Stars” at Fort William Historical Park. The campground is nestled on the banks of the scenic Kaministiquia River and surrounded by picturesque wilderness. Northern Ontario’s beautiful summer nights make for an amazing camping experience the whole family will enjoy!
The campground has plenty of room for RVs, trailers, and tents of all sizes, and offers both serviced and non-serviced sites. You can also rent one of our rental RVs, complete with kitchen, dining area, bathroom and sleeping areas for up to 6 people. All you need to bring is your own sleeping gear, cookware and supplies. Serviced sites are equipped with 50-, 30- and 20-amp electrical outlets, and a fresh water connection. Campground amenities include hot showers and flush toilets, a garbage and recycling station, a grey and black water dumping station, Wi-Fi, and access to the gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs and gifts, ice and firewood.
While staying at the campground, take advantage of Fort William Historical Park’s award-winning historic programs, astronomical observatory and outdoor adventure opportunities. The Park is also located a short drive from a variety of shopping and dining locales. With so much to see and do at Northern Ontario’s premier entertainment park, Fort William Historical Park is truly a “Stay & Play” destination!

Driving Directions
Fort William Historical Park is located minutes from the Thunder Bay International Airport, on King Road, approximately 4 kilometres (3 miles) west on Broadway Avenue, off Highway 61.
For visitors coming from the U.S., Fort William Historical Park is only 30 minutes north of the border. Simply, follow Highway 61 north and turn left onto Broadway Avenue in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Pets are welcome at Fort William Historical Park’s campground and historic site; however they are not permitted at festivals and events or inside food service areas.
