Rainy River First Nations Pow Wow
Each year in June the Rainy River First Nations host a pow wow. Pow wow is a traditional cultural practice which features traditional drum songs and dancing held in an arbour, which is the traditional structure built to hold these events.
It is a community celebration in a family atmosphere of fun and celebration. There are specials with prizes awarded for different styles of dance in a variety of areas, with organized events for all age groups.
The 2014 event takes place June 20 to 22, at the Rainy River First Nations Pow Wow grounds.
