Quiet parks in Ranier offer nice views of Rainy Lake and Rainy River – international falls, rainy lake and ranier CVB

The Rainy Lake Trail is located on the route connecting International Falls to Voyageurs National Park. This 14-mile scenic route connects to the Park’s Headquarters and Rainy Lake Visitor Center as well as other trail systems, water accesses, several resorts and tourist businesses, and the historic community of Ranier. Other highlights include visiting "Big Vic" in Ranier and City Beach.

Route Directions

The Rainy Lake Trail begins at the Chamber of Commerce building in International Falls as an off road paved trail to Ranier. It moves through Ranier as a designated route on the local road system. East of Ranier the trail alternates between being designated on wider shoulders sections of Highway 11 and being a paved off road trail leading to the Black Bay (Rainy Lake) Visitors Center of Voyageurs National Park.
