Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club

Club Chalet – Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club

Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club has over 15km of trails to challenge all levels of beginner and intermediate skiers, with both classic and skate-ski groomed tracks. In addition we have several km of marked snowshoe trails for your enjoyment!

Trail System

The trails are groomed regularly depending on usage and snowfall. Our trails are generally considered to be very well groomed! Snowshoe trails are broken and marked after major snowfalls.

Our trails include three main ski loops groomed with skate/classic tracks (intermediate level), and a new classic trail suitable for beginners groomed with side-by-side classic tracks. Our snowshoe trails system has four marked trails through the forest, around and over a beaver pond, and allows the user to enjoy moderate-difficulty snowshoeing. Average time to travel each loop varies from 35 minutes for the shortest trail to 90 minutes for the most challenging

The club has trails for cross-country freestyle (skate) and classic ski use. Snowshoe trails traverse through forested area which varies from less challenging, even terrain on the shortest trails to rocky and moderately challenging terrain on the longer trails. The club has a modest quantity of ski and snowshoe equipment available for day use at a reasonable fee on a "first come, first served" basis.
