Lafayette Community Center & Beach

Beach or Tide Pool
This is an amazing location to take a dip in the 'big lake'. Be mindful of the color-warning system for swimming conditions. – Michelle PIerson

The Lafayette Community Center is a Park Point gem. It includes a playground, a pleasure ice-skating rink in the winter, a sandlot baseball field, a community garden, an historic building available to rent and home to the Park Point Community Club and two access points to the Park Point Beach.

Recreational Opportunities

Lafayette Beach has a red-green-yellow warning system in place to alert potential swimmers to swimming conditions. This beach access point does not have a lifeguard. The parking lot has room for 12 vehicles. A portable toilet is in place near the parking lot. Several picnic tables are located near the playground.

Accessibility Notes

There is one Disability Parking space in the parking lot.

Eco-Friendly Notes

Glass is not permitted on the Park Point Beach. Garbage receptacles are located near the parking lot. Please pack out what you pack in. It is important to pick up pet waste and dispose of it properly, as well.

Seasons Accessible

The parking lot is plowed in the winter and the Lafayette Community Center Recreational Area provides opportunities to recreate in all seasons.
