Kamview Nordic Centre
Kamview Nordic Centre is a wilderness trail venue located in City of Thunder Bay limits that is a popular cross country ski facility in the winter. More recently the trails are being used for cross country running making the centre a year round operation.
Kamview Nordic Centre is owned and operated by Thunder Bay Nordic Trails, a not-for-profit organization, incorporated in 1982. It is one of the largest ski clubs in Canada, with over 1400 members.
Thunder Bay Nordic Trails grooms 100km of cross country ski trails including those at Kamview Nordic Centre along with those in two provincial parks close to Thunder Bay Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park and Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Kamview Nordic Centre is the home base for Thunder Bay Nordic Trails but members have access to all three locations.
Kamview Nordic Centre offers 13 different length trails, ranging from 0.3km to 6.8km. They are offered all year long for everything from running, walking, hiking in the summer; and skiing, snowshoeing and skating in the winter. They hold various events throughout the year and hold night trails that are well lit.
