Hazelwood Lake Conservation Area

Conservation Area
Aerial View of Hazelwood Lake

Hazelwood Lake is one of the closest inland lakes to the City of Thunder Bay. Located only 25 minutes from the City, this large, semi-wilderness area is perfect for full day family outings. Enjoy a refreshing swim at the beach, a relaxing evening of fishing and barbecuing or a leisurely walk along one of the many trails. In the winter you can explore the trails by snowshoe.

The natural attributes and visitor facilities of Hazelwood Lake Conservation Area make it a great site for major events.

Please Note: Gasoline powered devices are prohibited in or on the lake; only electric motors, ice augers, etc. are permitted. No snowmobiles or ATVs are allowed.
