Glensheen, Historic Congdon Estate
Glensheen Mansion at Christmas!
There are 25 Christmas trees on display throughout the historic mansion, as well as 25 hidden elves for people to find while on any of the three Christmas tours. The self-guided General Admission is perfect for families. All 25 Christmas trees and all 25 elves can be found on the General Admission tour. The Full Mansion tour is guided on two floors of the mansion, and self-guided on the remaining floors (General Admission floors). There is also the guided, Candlelight Christmas tour where you can experience the magic of the trees at night. For the Congdon family, who built the mansion in the early 1900s, Glensheen was a special place at Christmas and was one of the few times the family all gathered together so Congdon Christmas stories are highlighted on tour. Christmas tours are available daily from Friday, Nov. 15, through Sunday, Jan. 5 (Closed Nov. 28, Dec. 24 & 25). Extended, late tour hours are available Friday and Saturday nights through Dec. 28.
