Beaux Daddy's Canajun Grillhouse
“Lassay Les Bon Temps Rouler!” Cajun for "Let the Good Times Roll" is the theme of the unique dining experience that you are walking into at Beaux Daddy's Canjun Grillehouse.
There is more to Beau Daddy's than the Cajun, Acadian Louisiana fare and it's Mardi Gras atmosphere. Beaux Daddy's is also about stepping back in time to connect with a grand old building on the southern outskirts of Thunder Bay on Highway 61 that was known as the bustling place of Uncle Frank's Supper Club.
The restaurant and it's menu serves two distinct cultures in the hopes that you will enjoy the fun, food and music that has continually inspired the Acadian and Cajun families to enjoy their way of life…”their way”.
The Cajun-Creole menu with Canadian twists offers fresh flavours and good times with items such as shrimp Creole, jambalaya, southern-fried buttermilk chicken, and blackened catfish, as well as burgers, steaks, and seafood.
If you are at Beaux Daddy's on a Friday or Saturday night, there is usually a band playing with live entertainment starting at 9 pm to accommodate those also out for a night of family dining with younger children.

LOCALLY OR FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS NOTES
Beaux Daddy’s is a recent restaurant addition to Thunder Bay but has history in that it is located in the former Uncle Frank’s Supper Club which was an iconic dining establishment for several generations of Thunder Bay residents dating back to the 1950s.
The New Orleans inspired restaurant was the the vision of Richard (Dick) Davidson (a business man from Sioux Lookout) who transformed the former Uncle Frank’s Supper Club back to its original luster for a night out of dining, dancing and romancing. Davidson, who tragically passed away just before the Beaux Daddy's grand opening in August 2011 went into detail of preserving the history of the grand old building including it’s iconic sign inviting you to “Come As You Are” and spacious parking around the building.
Davidson's attention to detail to preserve the past was calculated with a display of memorabilia from Uncle Frank’s, including a menu from the 50s, and photos of patrons and staff. Davidson also reused the chairs, and one of the awnings from the exterior of the building. A replica of Uncle Frank’s neon sign and original yellow coach lanterns hang above the kitchen mixing the old with new to compliment Bourbon street theme of a classy horseshoe bar.
Davidson's youngest son, Christopher, is now carrying on his father's vision to create that unique Canjun dining experience.
