Ahnisnabae Art Gallery
Ahnisnabae Art Gallery houses one of the largest collections of Aboriginal Art in Northwest Ontario. There are works of nearly 300 artists on display at any one time.
Many of the names represented are well known First Nation artists including the owner of the gallery, Louise Thomas' late husband, Roy Thomas.
There are painting in the gallery from the famed Norval Morrisseau and others likes Randy Thomas, Carl Ray, Elliott Doxtater-Wynn, Linus Woods (from Manitoba), Saul Williams, Jane Ash Poitras, Don Ningewance, Jimmy Oskineegish, Amo Angeconeb and more. There are also wonderful young artists represented, including Candace Twance, Sean Hedican, John Belanger, OJ Ogemah and others.
Louise also promotes younger artists and is planning art show openings in the near future to help them out.
